ALLAN TOEWS Visual Artist
I began as a practicing artist in Winnipeg MB in 1972 after graduating from the School of Art, University of Manitoba.
I moved to Victoria BC in 2005 and have continued to practice my art here. Although I have used the photograph as a source material and an end in itself, I still find drawing, collage and painting to be the most challenging and meaningful forms of expression. Drawing has always been at the forefront of my art having had several exhibitions where it was the primary art form.
